The Iranian Journal of Medical Sciences (IJMS) has gone through some changes in its editorial body. As the new Editor-in-Chief of IJMS, I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to the previous Editorial Board members who are not with us anymore, for all their efforts regarding the continuity and improvement of IJMS. I would also like to thank the new Editorial Board for accepting such a demanding responsibility.
It is my pleasure to announce that a system of Section Editors with different specialties has been added to the new Editorial Board of IJMS to facilitate and increase the speed and quality of screening and review stages. Additionally, special attention was given to the geographical diversity of the new Editorial Board and some scientists from other universities inside and outside the country were invited, which can help in broadening our perspectives and making stronger decisions.
We will continue our mission to serve researchers worldwide in communicating their scientific knowledge. Considering the diversity of the topics covered by IJMS, very numerous manuscripts are submitted to the journal, among which the Editorial Board would try to select the most appropriate ones based on quality, novelty, and broad readership.
The manuscripts written on various subjects of advanced biomedical sciences including neuroscience and cognition, medical and pharmaceutical biotechnology, medical nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, gene therapy, cell therapy, and medical bioinformatics would be of high value for IJMS as well as well-written reviews and meta-analyses.
We are looking forward to receiving your valuable manuscripts and results of your high standard research in different areas of medical and clinical disciplines as well as basic and advanced sciences.
